Science fiction films Tron and Tron Legacy inspired Laura Aldred and Simon Haydn to create this photograph. In the films, bikes and planes leave trails of light behind them, creating iconic images like this.  To create this photo, Aldred and Haydn built a custom light fixture for a bike, which Hayden then pedalled while Aldred took long-exposure shots to capture the light. The images are beautiful, but you can also interpret them as a green statement. They were taken for an environmental blog and cycling, of course, produces no emissions. Cars trail a line of smoke, but this bike leaves only light behind it. Clever.
