It’s one of those events the public get all gooey eyed over, celeb mags print page after page on and lots of people try to make money out of. Royal Wedding fever has captured the nation and since we know when it’s going to happen, there is only one more thing to speculate…who is going to design that dress?

The Royal Wedding is probably one of the most lucrative brands imaginable. China tea sets, t-shirts, posters and all kinds of other commemorative items/tat will be sold to the public. You can also count on tens of millions watching the big day unfold on TV and another huge crowd lining the streets outside the registry office…I mean church. Many of those watchers will be immensely interested in one element of the wedding in particular. Kate’s wedding dress. That’s right, it’s not just Vogue that care who designs Kate Middleton’s wedding dress. Bookies are even taking wagers on the designers identity.

A big deal then, and I’m sure Kate will be dressed in something very fancy. Nothing out of the catalogue for our Kate. I won’t spend too much time speculating who the designer will be or providing you with a dead cert for the bookies, but I do have a list of some of the best and worst dresses out there for Kate to choose from.
