If there’s one lesson to be learnt from Lolcats it’s that cute means popular.
Also that not having a working grasp of grammar won’t hold you back. But everyone likes looking at adorable
things on the internet, but it’s not often that you see adorable design.
Well that’s all about to change with the adorable Evolta from Panasonic. The tiny robot has already scaled the walls of the Grand Canyon and driven the Le Mans racetrack. Impressive feats considering his height. Now he’s looking ahead to a new challenge – the Ironman Triathlon course.

Designed by Tomotaka Takahashi, the robot will have three different bodies for each of the different sections. It’s being to be a huge challenge for the plastic contender as the race is made up of a 2.4 mile swim, a 112 mile bike race, and a 26 mile run, compromising 140 miles in total. So there’s no wonder that it’s estimated that it will take the plucky plastic robot an estimated 168 hours to complete it.

The robot starts the challenge tomorrow on the 24th October and you can follow it on Twitter for updates.
