It’s Friday, Friday, Friday (that’ll never get old) and you’ve nearly made it through the week. Congratulations, and add even more shine to your day the Lost Type Co Op has released their new fonts. Ok so they were actually released a couple of days ago, but we delayed this blog so we could have Four Fonts Friday. Selfish I know but just look at that alliteration. All the fonts are available for free (but donations are welcome) so have some design inspiration for your weekend:
A condensed uppercase typeface with regular, thin, inline, and bold weights.
Designed by Morgan Knutson.
This font is beloved by relaxed officials, with it’s casual authority it says ‘Hey we might be drinking margaritas together but remember who’s in charge here’. Watch out for it appearing on officious friends and co-workers business cards.
Two fonts; one serif, one sans-serif. Both contain the full character set plus ligatures.
Designed by Tippletype.
An elegant font that looks stylish even when you’re using it to say nothing at all. I’m considering using it for the invitations to my exclusive parties that I don’t invite you to because you always end up crying on the stairs.
A bold, chiselled font with three layers: fill, shadow, and fill+shadow.
Designed by James T. Edmonson.
This gracefully suggests retro fun with jet packs. Perfect for your local ice cream and beer retailer or mad scientist (you should make friends with him just in case he has invented a jet pack).
A numeral Set for fancy phone numbers.
Designed by Jim Leszczynski.
