It’s probably best not to count on it though when you’ve got ray guns as beautifully designed as these.

The Raygun52 project has been started by Alex Griendling who is acting as an intermediary for a weapons manufacturer from the future known simply as the Company. They’re looking for designs for their weapons as they’ve been banned from getting designs from designers in their current time. Alex is the designer behind such excellent projects as the 2011 Time Travellers Calendar so it’s no wonder they chose him as their intermediary.

The results are one raygun design a week for fifty two weeks (hence the name), and each ray gun design is as varied and fun as you could hope. The projects currently about twenty five weeks in so we expect to see many more designs coming through but here are our three favourite ones so far.
